Bored at Los Angeles airport. Still another 8 hours till my flight to Fiji. So I’m killing time on this insanely expensive internet terminal. Anyway, I wasn’t able to check my pack through to New Zealand, so I’m lugging it around with me for the next 4 hours till check-in opens for the flight to Fiji.
This morning’s flight from Montreal was fairly uneventful. Took off an hour and a half late cause of some mechanical problem with the original plane. No biggie – less layover time is all. The woman sitting next to me was one of those crystal-healing freaks who kept trying to interest me in her scheme to sell Tahitian noni juice. On the other side was a woman from L.A. who is originally from Dollard who went to HFS and Herzliah 25 years ago but still remembers some of the same teachers. Go figure.
LAX has fake palm trees everywhere. Gotta love the plastic. There are some outside that look real, at least. And sunshine and no snow, so can’t be too bad.
Next update from the other hemisphere.
