I’ve been home for four days and I’m slowly adjusting to life back in Montreal. It’s been great sleeping in my own bed and no longer living out of a backpack. It’s also a lot of fun catching up with everyone. Moreover, I’m still seeing the world through my rose-coloured tourist lenses, and Montreal in the summertime sure looks sweet when viewed in that way. Canada Day, the Jazz Fest, FantasiaFest, the Comedy Fest… it’s a constant party here, and a great reminder of just how lucky I am to live in this fabulous city.
Reality is sure to hit really soon, but in the meantime, I’m still reminiscing about the trip. If you’d like to see some more photos, feel free to check out my video slideshow (Part 1 and Part 2), or stay tuned until I see you and can show you my albums and tell you stories in person.
Now that I’ve had a chance to reflect a little, I realize just how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to go to all these places and see so much. This trip has truly been the experience of a lifetime. It’s always nice to come home, but I know I’ll remember my travels vividly for a very long time to come.
